iPhone models top the list of most repaired smartphone brands
As you know, Apple and iPhone models are now the most sold and shipped smartphone brands. Electronisc Hub revealed the most repaired smartphone model of all time. This data is created based on iFixit repair requests and page views.
In recent years, governments have begun to provide incentives and sometimes take measures for the production of more easily repairable smartphones. In this sense, iFixit is an important helper for people to repair their smartphones themselves. By far, the smartphone model for which consumers have requested repair assistance the most has been the iPhone 4. The smartphone, introduced by Apple in 2010, is one of the most used smartphone models.
Again, the smartphone brand that received the most repair requests was Apple, with 17 million 511 thousand page views. Samsung followed this with 2 million 834 thousand repair requests. Huawei ranks third with 768 thousand 114.
The top ten in the ranking of the smartphone models that require the most repairs consist entirely of iPhone models. Accordingly, the most repaired Android smartphone is the Samsung Galaxy S III, followed by the Galaxy S5, S4, S6 and LG Nexus 5, respectively.
Electronisc Hub also listed the smartphone models released after 2022 with the most repair requests. At the top of this list is the iPhone 14 Pro Max. It is followed by iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra respectively. Google Pixel 7 Pro took fifth place. In this sense, Android models receive fewer repair requests.
Although the most repaired phone brand may seem like a negative image, it actually reveals how long these models have been used. Again, old smartphone models were simpler and repairable compared to today. Now, most high-end smartphones have become very difficult for consumers to repair themselves.
